It's been tough out there the last few nights. I was looking at my log book from the past few pink runs and this is when it started to heat up. I usually fish from one of the port of Seattle parks on West Marginal Way but this year they don't seem to be schooling up as much. I have gotten a fish or two the last few nights (Which is better than a lot of the people around me have managed) but usually there are fish jumping everywhere this time of year if the nets aren't in. I know there are fish down south in by Kent but I love catching those fresh sea liced laced fish. I fear that is weather has just pushed a ton of them up all at once. Lets hope this is just an epic year and the main population still hasn't gotten here yet.

The forecast for this years run is nowhere near any of the last few runs. Only a little over half a million fish were predicted.

Yeah, I saw that. Almost half as many as last run. :(

They're still down in the Duawimish, very nice chrome/lice fish still. Last week I was catching all males, this week I've caught almost all hens. Go figure. They do seem on the small side, but hit the tide right and they're hungry!
