i only had a short window to fish this morning so i stayed close to home and fished the sloughs.. the fish are in big time... i saw sone pretty big schools pass by and only 2 other guys within 1/4 mile of me :) both of those guys only caught 1 each while i was there, and i helped one guy land his fish. i caught my limit very quickly then booked it home as fast as i could, i had to get ready to go to bc for next week. so only fished for 1hour 15 minutes, lost 2 hook ups, and landed my 4. 3 chrome bright hens and 1 marginally acceptable buck, which turned out to have very decent meat. 1/4 oz white/pink marabou jig, scented with sandshrimp oil, twitched very fast, but gently. fish were quite bitey, i watched that guy who i helped land his fish, snap off 3 humpies in a row lol, i think he was using cheap line. a very fun quicky salmon trip.
