Got to the Sky at around 4pm on Friday with my son. After about 30 minutes without so much as a bite, a really nice gentleman who was leaving suggested we try white jigs that he tied himself and gave us two. My son then proceeded to limit out and lost as many or more than he caught. I didn't have as good of luck. I did hook quite a few but lost them all on the retrieve. After about 30 minutes with no bites, while my son waited patiently (since he was done being at his limit), I switched to a bright orange jig. On first cast, I hooked and landed a nice hen which was nice because that was going to be my last cast of the day. :-)

It was a slow day for me but my son had a blast, which means so did I.

Nice Job! Still looking to have my boys hook into their first pink.

Go to the Skykomish. It's a great place to fish. My son caught his first salmon ever there 2 years ago.

Agree with scotrobe. Good bet to get fish on the Sky. I love this river! Snoho was ok, but I'm glad the Skykomish is open.
