This is obviously a late report, but i gotta share it. Took three friends Saturday fishing Snohomish 522 hole. Its a bit challenging cause they're all first timer anglers. But there are fish around that keep us busy. So basically I just took a guide job for this trip as I wanna make sure they hook in to some fish, and the river blessed us with 10 fish. It was a nice outing and fun. I said challenging cause I have to teach/show them how to cast, set the hook and land a fish, running around netting their fish, and tying jigs to their lines. Lost like maybe 10 or so home made jigs, but no remorse as I can see in their faces that they have fun and they may be hook into fishing now. As I was cleaning up and picking up trash and lines around I end up finding a stick with a hook in it, looks like a snaggers gear. Man why do people had to be a pig and and trash the river. As I have pick up canned of beer,bottle of sodas,lure wrappers/boxes. Oh well I guess I just have to do my part of keeping it clean. Have fun and be safe...

Most the time the people fishing the right way catch more fish!! Lead by example that's all we can do!!

Great job taking your friend's fishing. As for cleaning up, you do it because you know it's the right thing to do. Please don't try to understand why people do the things they do. You keep doing the right thing. Hey when the the coho fishing picks up give me a buzz so we're can take my sled out fishing.

Huli, right on for being a steward of the river. sometimes i haul out more pounds of garbage than i do fish. it's like being a parent and cleaning up after the mess your kids make. ideally they learn, eventually, but until they do it's your responsibility to minimize their impact. although if you have bad kids with zero conscience, they just watch and think you're crazy for putting in the effort. and that's when you offer them up for adoption, or volunteer them for that mars colonization mission! let them trash a planet with no rivers and no salmon!

my dad and i went out yesterday and managed to catch 7 mature pinks drifting dick nites. the snagger across from us hauled in one, but put in a lot more time and energy jerking his rod back and reeling in all of the slack. finally some justice! tight lines out there.

Right on Mr. Huli! Extra kudos for you cleaning up after others. Let's see who's collection of garbage is bigger the next time we post a report. I have been picking up after others too.
