Fished from the bank of the Snohomish at the access about a half mile downstream from the hiway 9 bridge. Looking for Humpy Hens for my eggs stash for Silvers. Fished with Co-workers and met some of the regulars at that hole right where the trail comes out onto the beach. Talk about smack fishing talk....it was a great time!
Started out with an in line 3/8 oz sinker with a silver "Dandy Mite" lure which is an imitation Dick Nite.
First 10 minutes where rather quiet then fish started rolling in close, I casted at an angle to my left to cover more of the shallow water and Bam, fish on. After a brief fight I landed my first Silver for the season probably about 4 lbs, small and showing signs of rough travels but a nice fish. Hooked into another fish that started to peel line out and thought I had another silver, put a great fight only to find it was a tail hooked Humpy, the movements felt just like head shakes.....
I couldn't hook any of pinks that were rolling around. A young man there was hooking them twitching right on the bottom with jigs. Great time with co workers and new fishing friends get a 4 star rating.
Tight Lines and keep your eggs fresh.
