Instead of hitting up the usual spots I decided to look for someplace new. After a long walk that resulted in me being covered in mud and webs(still have spiders on me lol…) I came across a small section of the river that appeared to not have been fished in a very long time. I didn’t see any activity in the water but decided to give it a shot. Rigged up a pink jig and after a few casts I hooked into a big fish! Lost it after a short fight but I was excited now. Next cast resulted in another hookup and resulted in the landing of a nice buck! As I was recording my catch at least 5 pinks jumped 15ft away from me! I rushed to get my catch recorded and got my pole back in the water. But unfortunately didn’t have much luck after that, it was starting to get dark and I was off the beaten path so I called it for the day. Not bad for 30min of fishing!
