High tide on the D and a day to fish so I headed up to the Green to see what was cracking there. Happy to see lots of people out in Auburn by the golf course so I parked the little prius and made my way to the shore.

While I was sitting in the river in butt deep cold mountain water, I saw perhaps 10,000 fish swim by both in front of me and behind me. They were everywhere! The water was a bit shallow so I ditched the jig and tried the other tackle in the box, yarn, dick nights, even a spinner. Nothing. I watched the yarn bounce off the faxes of probably 20 fish feet in front of me. These were some picky eaters.

The snaggers were out in full force by the golf course and having great luck. They need to learn how to tie better knots however, as I was passed by a few fish with nice pink ribbons in their back.
