What a fun and beautiful fall day on the river. Met Mr. JonB at our infamous "Smack Talk Hole" and started twitching the black and purple jigs. Please believe there was plenty of smack talking amongst the two of us. Friendly gesture of course. We proceeded to Hook into a good amount of humpies ( all released but one) As I was getting there I hear JonB scream "oh this is a fat pig" as he is fighting his way through a bunch of snags he lands a beauty of a coho around 6-8lbs. An hour later I get a strong take down with some fantastic head shakes and pull in a nice small guy around 3-4lbs. Bright as can be. Over the few hours we were there Jon lost about 2 other coho and I lost a few other fish which I couldn't identify the species. All in all it was a fantastic trip. We scouted some other holes that definately had silvers in them but they were very lock jaw. Coho season is just a few days away from being in full swing.

Slow jigging off the bottom is the key to getting these guys to bite in the snohomish. Scent is a must!! Oh Ya, I also hooked into a few humpies on my go to late fall coho jig "Mister Twister scented curly tail grub" pretty cool,to see them hit that.
