Went fishing lower river around lowell snohomish river road area with my 5 year old boy hoping to catch some pink salmon for him to reel the salmon in to the shore as well as to get him excited about fishing. We didn't see much jumper and been trying to catch them drifting 50/50 and pink dick nite for about 2 hrs but no luck.

Could anyone give me some pointer about catching pink salmon from shore in snohomish river. At this moment are they still hanging around lower river or way up river. Are they hanging close to the shore or in the middle of the river.
Dont really care much for chromer I just want to get my son to be able to land these fish on his own so he can get excited and hooked-up with fishing when he grow up.

Most of the river shore are rocky and very dangerous for kids. If anyone can recommend a decent place to bring kid fishing in snohomish or skykomish that would be appreciated.
