First time fishing for coho! And boy I will not ever forget it because I have never lost that much gear in one trip fishing in my life... Still hurts just thinking about it. I scouted the river for some new spots around 7:30am, found some cool spots, saw some fish jump, tried throwing a couple jigs and spoons but had no luck. Around 10:00am my buddy joined me and we went looking for more new spots to try out. Found a hole that looked really promising, lots of fish jumping within casting distance, and that's when the snagging started... I believe a couple of members on here have dubbed a specific spot the "snaghole" not sure if this was the hole they were talking about, but it deserves the name. We tried everything on this hole, eggs, spinners, jigs, spoons, nothing was biting, and everything was snagging haha. Then a boat pulled up and caught about 3 in what seemed to be minutes, couldn't believe it. Besides the loss of gear, which was massive, we found new spots and saw the fish we were trying to catch, just need to find a better way to fish it. Hope everyone else isn't loosing as much gear as we did!

It sure sounds like the snagpile hole. If it is that hole, it can be fished without loosing much gear, today I went 1/4 and lost 1 jig in 2 hours.
