WOW what a great time to go fishing! There are a ton of silvers in the Skagit right now river clarity is really good and the fish are biting. I have been doing really good East of Sedro Woolley fishing the dead water on the Skagit. I have been staying of off the main channel and fishing from the shore looking for non moving water and it's producing quality fish on a nightly basis. I have been using the Brads wiggler #29 retrieving very slowly looking for logs or overhanging brush to pitch it at and it's working. The fish are rolling everywhere so pitch at them and if the plug doesn't work after several casts I throw a #4 chartreuse spinner at them retrieving real slow. The fish are still real bright and the best part of this style of fishing is the exempt fishermen with nets can't reach these spots so the silvers are stacked up right along the shore. You don't need to cast way out in the river just 20 yards out and retrieve it slowly so the lure comes in along the rocks on the shore. Go kill'em.
