Well, I just started to dial in the Coho on the Green and now it's closed. Oh well, can't eat the seed if you want the plant to grow. I decided to drive up to the Upper Skagit. I had read a few promising reports, so I called up a few friends and made it happen. We floated from Marblemount to Concrete. Both of my friends had only fished for salmon once before so I am sure this contributed to our luck. It was tough fishing. I anchored up at the mouth of the Cascade for a hour or two and threw everything I had in the boat at them. Nothing! Even the guides weren't seeming to catch many. We fished hard from 7 am to 4 pm before calling it a day. I saw one guy that had kept a fire truck, but that was it. Those Coho are tricky beasts sometimes. The day wasn't a total bust, saw a couple of golden eagles and had perfect weather, but tough weekend. Skunked fishing, aunt died, Huskies and Hawks lost, and my dog got diagnosed with hearth worm. Always next weekend!
