got to the river about 3:45 pm about 3/4 to sultan from Monroe. posted up just down from a guy floating eggs from the looks of it. he said he just got there. tried jigs and spinners. got nothing. saw a few salmon. at a distance at the pace they were moving and being on the surface I think they were zombies. saw a few trout jumping. another guy came down about an hour later and I think he was floating something as well. was more concerned about what I was trying to do. they both left empty handed and I went 10/10 on some leaves and 1/1 on an alder tree I was trying to side arm underneath . saw one nice coho jump at about 6:30 I packed up and got out about 6:45 because I could hardly see. I am sure a better fisherman then myself would have had better luck. got home to find out the river is now closed.
