Well it was at least a beautiful sunrise on the south fork of nooksack river, went all the way up by the hatchery, didn't see anything rolling, nothing on the surface at all... Seen a few old an spawned out fish just out of the fast current, water was up, stained and fast--- spent about 3 hours casting to no avail, would have thought maybe a chum or a coho but nope.... Sure would like to know when this body of water will produce..... Went to the confuence of the north and south fork and water was stained and slowly falling, not a single roller there at highway 9...
I did see what looked like a fresh catch and kill under the bridge, sad to see that they wasted so many eggs, they were laying everywhere.......
North fork is giving up some quality chum, some still bright and others looking like they are deaths doorstep, saw a guy snag one, hauled it on shore and grabbed it only to retract in fear, opening up his hands, dropped to his knees at waters edge to rinse his hands, popped open the old bottle of hand sanitizer while the whole time cussing and carry' n on....
I had a good laugh and rolled out...
