Well my last coastal salmon days have come to an end. Its nice to have some time off, it was a crazy busy fall! Ive been getting out on the Skagit a little bit with some clients who just want to get out on the water, since steelhead on this system is not exactly a lights out fishery. However we have found a few nice hatchery steelhead side drifting, and catching lots and lots of monster dollies swinging flies and fishing beads. That plus the odd accidental chum or coho have kept the days full of fun!

A couple more weeks of fishing on the Skagit and ill be moving to the coast for the remainder of the winter... Its officially that time of year again. Trophy Wild Winter Steelhead on Washington's Coastal Systems is just around the corner, and I have PEAK TIME DATES still available!

There isnt a single fishery anything like it in the world. They are one of the strongest, toughest, most gorgeous and resilient fish that exists. We as anglers brave freezing conditions, long walks, dawn till dusk with countless hours casting at promising water waiting, hoping the next cast could be the fish of a lifetime.

There is likely no place on earth where you will have an opportunity at minumal pressured water, giant steelhead that can break 20lbs and multiple hookup days on some of the most beautiful streches of water in the world...
