Fished both incoming tides today a barely even saw a fish! Saw one small native jack caught and released and that was it in the morning. Came back in the evening and saw zero. Tribe started netting at 4pm and they will run through 4pm Friday so I won't be back until maybe next Sunday as I work Saturdays. Maybe a few fish will get through? Can't for the life of me figure out why the runs are disappearing? Oh well, back to bass fishing :D.

I've put plenty of time in up there but last year and this year it has been ugly. I fish high tides exclusively but have always seen fish rolling or waking in the past. After how bad last year was I decided to only fish the off-netting days as I have many more things I can do with my time.

@8theB8:
Try drifting eggs on a out going tide. The ideal time is about 3 hours after high tide. I've always had good results.

We have always thrown spinners around the high tides to avoid the crowds and I have always been able to fill my needs for the season but last year was abysmal and this year is not off to a good start. Maybe a technique change is in order? Or a location change?

Samish is a low tide fishery. While they do bite on the incoming tide the majority of the fish are on the move at incoming
