I havent been here for a while. let at least my home river. when i used to live in seattle, the river was literally 10 minutes away. now since ive moved takes about an hour to get here. seen some decent reports and i finally had a day off to head back to the green. got to the river at about 0630 and holy hell there was litter everywhere. spinner boxes, left over ziplock bags with egg goo in them. packs of empty store bought rays eggs. soda bottles. crap everywhere. would be nice if people would pick up after themselves. keep the rivers clean. dont just come fish, give up and throw your trash everywhere. now to the fishing. seen a seal move up river around 0700, i usually dont see them this high. slow for about an hour, a few jumpers. then the bite turned on. hit a little 14 inch jack. then a nice adult. then another adult. then a jack, then i hooked another adult. thinking to myself. maybe ill release him and try to get another jack. so away she went. few casts later, another adult.... So released 6 or 7 more adults later.......finally a jack....bonked. gills ripped. marked, and tried to get my last fish for a full 6 fish limit. cast. closed my bale. line starts to go tight and my tip starts to bend down. bam. not even 5 seconds later. she did a few jumps and came right in. marked my last adult fish. left at 0930 with a limit of fish and 2 bags of litter. go hawks
