Only in the sound and columbia and it's tributaries is it a permanent rule. I hear this time after time. Ppl assume that you need to pinch barb just because of anti-snagging rules or they have been mislead by other fisherman who are not up to speed with regulations. Sorry to rant about it but come on guys if you don't see anywhere on the rules books about pinched bards don't dwindle your chances down by pinching your bard, epically with the limited amount of fishing we have going on and don't just go off of what someone else tells. Read the rules thoroughly yourself so you don't have to rely on someone else's misguidance.

10/4/2016 4:41:00 AMRemember each river system may have its own rules and guidelines so don't assume just because you had to punch them in one area that means you have to punch them in every area for salmon.
