I took the long steep hike up to Eagle Lake for a little R & R. I fly fished the banks of the lake almost all the way around. It was nice, you could see the Cutts and Rainbows rise from under the logs. I used a small black and red wooley. Probably caught around 15 trout. It is a beautiful area, wild blueberries and salmon berries everywhere. A nice meadow that leads to the lake. It is a 4.5 mile hike with 1600 ft climb, I believe 1.5 miles covers 1000 ft of that climb. It is worth the hike, next time I am going to bring the float tube.
