Had another unbelievable day, do just about every time. Catch LMB just about every cast, sometimes 5lb, 6lb, 7lb, even up to 8lb, never weighed them just know they were big. Not just one or two either but#'s of all sizes, with an occasional crappie, bluegill, yellow perch and yes even cutthroat up to 24 inches. Buddy ruined the trout fishing when he caught at least 8 back to back and because he did not have pliers to get the hook out he practically ripped there lips off so now they will not even touch the Rooster tail. Fish intelligence put out the word, but the other species still hit it. Also use swimming frog, and floater, poopers on fly rod as well as flies, streamers just about everything works. Caught several large fish with smaller fish in the mouths but not all the way swallowed, two were just about back to back thought they were same fish but did not see hook set area in the mouth of the second one so assumed it was another fish. Was a beaver living in the lake, he helped to knock down some of the willows and give some cover to fish, but unfortunately coyotes dug up his den and he left, but his old place is a real magnet for the bass, caught several 5lb, off the den. This place is a haven for a fisherman that is tired of going out and only getting a few. Some of the best fishing I've done on a small body of water and it is only fished by a couple of guys that just started fishing it this year. They said they kept a few 4lbs or so and I said I just catch and release, but it is probably good to take a few big one out, noticed this year less little fish, so maybe a good thing to take out some of the big ones. Also noticed a lot of fry from Bass this year that I haven't seen in previous years, so the future is looking good. Sorry I cannot reveal this place, it is my therapy. Maybe when I can't cast again I'll tell someone that is as passionate about fishing as I am. Until the next hit.
