Hit the lake today to test out my new trolling motor and bow mount conversion. The motor worked great but the fish and weather were tough. A strong breeze and cloudy skies to start the day gradually cleared as the morning progressed. I had three rods rigged with rapalas, jigs, and worms. I worked my way north around the point to a wind shelter bay. Made two trips around the piers casting and switching rods as I went. I saw a couple big bass swim by totally uninterested in my gear. About the best I could do on the bass was one little guy coming out from under a dock nipping at my jig. I did hook and land a nice 14" rainbow on a large plastic stick bait - boy did that fish ever hit and run!

At least I know my bow conversion is solid. Cost of doing it myself - $30. Cost quoted at local well known boat shop - $1200. I even splurged on the good plywood. :-)
