Got frustrated at work today, so I hopped in my car and drove over to Phantom. When I got there, there were a few people with Bellevue City jackets hauling stuff away in bags. They were trying to clear out some of the lilly pads there. Specifically the flat ones, apparently an evasive species. The native ones are the ones that stick out of the water more and have yellow flowers. I won't feel bad when I finally get my boat there and chop a few of them up on the way out to the lake. I tried going for Crappie, since I couldn't find any place to buy real worms at. It was quite windy, so it was hard not to get hung up in the lillies. I switch to a bobber and Berkley Gulp Worm (brown) and tossed it out. Got a couple of hits, but didn't hook into anything. I was there for maybe an hour and fifteen minutes. Maybe when the wind dies down and someone hasn't been disturbing the lillies I'll have a bit more luck. Was nice getting out of the office though.
