Well, now we're finally moved after a month of straight up hassle I can finally get back out on the water more than just once a week or every other week. So, I hit it up the puddle at about nine'ish a.m. and did everything in my power to try and get ANYTHING to hit with no luck. This is between three poles (only one in the water at a time) with line/lure in the whole time for about three hours. With constant rain, cold and sometimes gusty winds I decided to try one last lure, something that is almost as old as I am handed down to me from my father which tagged these nice two trout, one was even a Brown Trout which I haven't caught since I was a kid over east of the mountains and the other was a cuttbow (I think, you tell me, maybe a red-band trout?) since it looked just like a rainbow with the red slash under the gill. Anyways, both put up a great fight on my light tackle and when the brown hit, it totally exploded out the water then again many more times during the tug-o-war dancing all the way to the boat. Both measured in at about 16 inches and were pretty fat too. I can't wait to go sit in the rain and wind some more; once again, life is good.
