Wow, what a day! Me and big fish lite line decided it was time to try our backwoods gem for cutthroats today and fishing was stellar. This was the first time we've been up there this year in a boat and it sure produced. we got up to the lake at daylight and lite line began trolling a small woolley bugger fly and I put on the wedding ring. At first both were producing, lite line hooked about a 16 incher and I had bites but no fish yet. the next half hour I caught two fish, a 18incher and another 16incher. then lite line switched to a wedding ring and we pretty much caught fish consistently until we left at about ten. Among the fish were three monsters, one 23.5 incher that i hooked into. and lite line with a stalky 20.5 incher of a pig, it was a hog! we weren't catching fish one after another but the ones we hooked were big. beautiful day as well. great day of fishing, will go back as soon as possible. tight lines.
