I had heard rumors of large trout inhabiting a C&R only pond in a private community in the Bothell area. Fortunately I had access through family members and went out to fish it last night. The lake was C&R, no bait so I stuck to using spinners most of the night. Started with some Blue Foxes I bought and lost one into a tree overhanging the water immediately. Switched over to a larger Rooster Tail and missed a couple taps before picking up a decent sized (Would guess 12") Rainbow. I continued to move down the lake missing another couple taps before landing my second (and final) trout. This one was a bit bigger than the first, maybe 14"?

I briefly thought I'd discovered the giants talked about, but it turned out to just be a school of Carp floating around. I hear they don't like them in there so I volunteered to remove them if they would like. It'd be a fun fight at least and it's only a few minutes from home :)

So in short, as far as I can tell there are no "monster" trout in this lake, or at least nothing bigger than holdovers you'd find in the stocked lakes in the area.
