Went to Wintler and caught a nice 1.5 pound smallmouth, and my friend caught a small sturgeon maybe 25 inches or so, and a 2 pound smallie. Just used worms on the bottom about 30 yards from shore. Fished from 7 30 pm till 10pm. Bite was best right after sun went behind some trees. I also had on a HUGE sturgeon but i only had 6lb test and it snapped off after a minute or so:( One of the smallies had an about 5 inch trout in its mouth when we caught it too.

please do not keep smallmouths. in river and streams it can take up to 10 years for them to reach 16".
they do not spawn until 4-5 years old,
thanks, flyfisher
