Got to Fort Spokane at sunrise. My friend and I fished out in the deep water just outside the mouth of the Spokane Arm. Didn't see fish on the finder and realized they were cruising the top15-18 feet of water in the morning. Actually caught two of the fish out in the middle of the lake. Landed four nice rainbows in the morning within an hour and a half. The bite died for us by 11:00 a.m. Slower than usual but the largest measured 21.5". The smallest was 17". Two over 20". Best luck on the green Wedding Ring. Beautiful day, what more could you ask for?

Yep we've found the big rainbows schooling in the 15 foot range over deep water as well in late fall. We've had luck on wally poppers, cha chas, and other kinds of nightcrawler harnesses with spinners. the raibows absolutely hammer them.

I think those would be good things to try, maybe change things up when the bite goes dead.

What no luck on my magical flies? Or were you not even using them? I tell ya, I go away for a little while and you stop fishing the same way. I'm disappointed big brother. Oh well, guess I'll have to teach you all over again when I get back. Take care, sounds like you're doing great. Keep it up for me.

I trolled the flies that almost never let us down, they wanted the green ring that day. What do you think about catching them out in the middle? That is something huh? We are trying Rufus tomorrow down by the pens. Hopefully we can make Kent a believer!!! Take care David and keep up the good work in Iraq!
