Got the boat launched at Seven Bays about a quarter to 6. We took off to Hawk Creek. Stopped about halfway to start trolling. I was trolling a small 5 bladed flasher w/ a ruby red trolling fly, and my girlfriend Nicole was trolling a medium orange dodger w/ a firetiger apex on it, both typed w/ worm.
Note: I wish I had a downrigger.
I was trolling 5 colors, Nicole was trolling about 10 colors, in about 100-130 ft of water.
The humingbird marked a fair number of fish, at around 60'.
We ended up w/ nothing in the boat that day, do you know how tuff it is to reel in a fish w/ 10 colors out? Of coarse my pole didn't get touched due to depth.
Man I need a downrigger!
On a side note, I did have a good bite in about 200' of water on nicole's pole. Pulled the lil 14' crestliner sideways. You could tell by the jerkiness of the pole it wasn't a snag, reeled in 5/10 colors but it got off, that was the hardest 5 colors I've ever reeled, must have been a nice one :P~~
