Fished the morning and evening on Roosevelt, the morning produced nothing but tons of bites, and missing grub tails for the walleye. Trolled 7 miles for trout, came up with a few bites and missing nightcrawlers on the spinners. The heat and rain storms pushed us off the lake for 5 hours. The evening bite started about 4 pm, limits of walleye, all in shallow water, fished the rock banks in 6-10 feet of water with 1/2 oz jigheads/motor oil colored 3 inch grubs tipped with a whole nightcrawler, the walleye were one after another, a few smallies in the mix too, but they are full of worms, no big fish to speak of but lots of fun.
