This was a perfect trip. We launched in the morning at Keller Ferry Marina and headed to the right from the launch. Even though we started off with losing the wireless remote for the trolling motor, it was one of my greatest fishing trips.

Every single shallow water slough we threw our lure into, we caught fish. We must have caught close to 90 smallmouth, and release every one of them unharmed. They were mostly small fish with a couple of 2 or 3 pounders in there.

The highlight of the day was when my buddy pulled in a HUGE rainbow. It was a beatiful fish. He released it unharmed to be caught another day. I'm not sure if this is normal for Keller Ferry area, but I know I'll be back. After all, on my birth certificate, it says I lived in Wilbur :)
