What is up with Lake Roosevelt. Low water, no fish? We camped at a National Park for Mem. weekend called Evans. It is on the East bank north of Kettle Falls. The water was so low the launch was 10-20 feet dry. Fishing up and down from that location was miserable. No fish. My fish finder showed many fish at 7 ft-19 feet where the Kettle River comes into Roosevelt and zippo. On Monday after the weekend storm, massive logs and debris were coming down the Kettle River making it a mess to fish. Out of 2 boats and about 15 fishermen over the whole weekend, we caught one walleye. We tried worms, jigs, trolling, crankbaits, you name it. Early in the morning, noon, and evening. It will be some time before I waste my time at Roosevelt unless someone convinces me there are fish worth catching. The level of the lake was so inhibitive, I can't believe the 'conservation' group or whomever controls the levels would let it so low over the busiest camping weekend of the year. Just a little frustrated.
