Day 2 of 3: Decided to make a run from 7 Bays to Swawilla Basin and try for some Silvers. Was a nice day, good water conditions, so off we went. Arrived at Swawilla around 9-ish and got the downriggers setup for trolling. Spent the next couple hours trolling around the area but we weren't having any luck. About the time we decided to head back up to 7 Bays, my wife's rig went off and she had a nice fish on. I brought the downriggers up and reeled my rig in to find a 7" rainbow on my lure. Still quite feisty, so I quickly released him and turned to assist landing the fish my wife was fighting. Once she got it close enough to see, I could tell it was a nice rainbow. I quickly netted it and it was a fat 22"! At least the trip to Swawilla wasn't a total bust.

We left shortly after and headed for Hawk Creek where we fished outside the mouth just down from Lincoln. My wife was tossing a jig (her favorite method to fish) and I was pitching my old standby #7 Shad Rap, which ended up hung up on a snag (which I later recovered thanks to the boat hook). I switched to a #7 Fire Tiger Rapala and we kept fishing. Shortly after that I picked up a nice 18" walleye off a rocky point. My wife was playing CnR with undersized SMB. The weather was awesome, we had fish in the cooler, but it was time to play host for our host, so we left the fishing grounds early.

After a nice dinner, our host and I made our way down to the bank to fish. Me pitching my Fire Tiger Rapala and him a jig and worm. Wasn't long and I caught an 18" walleye, and then he picked one up. Then I caught another, and so did he. Before we knew it, we had six walleye between us in about 45 minutes, was the best fishing all weekend and we had another day yet!
