Just wanted to let everyone know, this was our first time fishing at Rufus Woods. So we were not really sure what to use, how to fish, etc. Before we left we went to the Ace Hardware store in Pateris to buy some fishing gear and hopefully talk to someone that has knowledge about how and where to fish, I don't remember his name, but i would like to thank the gentalman that works at the stroe as he told us what to fish with (Black Jigs), where to fish (Appx 10 feet deep using a bobber) and where to fish (net pens). The 3 of us started out around 9:00 AM on Saturday April 17th, we made the run down to the net pens hoping to catch some nice Tripolod Rainbows. All i have to say, is WOW, biggest trout i have ever seen or caught, largest was 10 lb, 6 ozs, and smallest was over 2.5 lbs, needless to say we limited on Saturday and did the same on Sunday. All i know is that all of us will be back again, had a great time.
