My son and I braved the fresh snow in Wenatchee this morning to head over to Roosevelt and look for some trout. We had a couple inches of snow overnight, and picked up more on the trip over to Spring Canyon, had to spend a little time de-icing before launching. We launched about 10:30, the fish checker at the launch said one boat had fished earilier close-by with poor results, so we headed up towards Keller and started fishing, later moving uplake almost to Lincoln. Very few boats on the lake anywhere. We fished 2 lines with muddler minnows behind a dodger on mono tipped with crawler and 1 leaded line with a pink apex tipped with maggots. Ended up catching most fish with pink apex and maggots on leaded line 3 colors. We landed seven, largest was a nice 22 1/2" ,missed 3. The weather turned out to be fine on the lake even though we started out from home in snow. If trout are what you are looking for Roosevelt would be a good choice. Sorry didn't have a camera with us (no pictures).
