went fishing on the potholes from wednesday to sunday. i spent most of my time fishing with 1/32oz jigs for crappie off the dock. it wasn't the best i have ever seen. i got a few each day but mostly small. i only got 5 over 9'' to keep. got 1 over a pound. i also got a lot of smallmouth to. there is a very good population around goose island. leeches were the hot bait. i know this is hard to beleive,but my dad and i caught 9 perch off the dock! the smallest one being about 10''.most of them were around 12''. the weight of these fish was from 13oz-1lb. my dad also caught a trout while perch fishing. it was about 2lbs. please relaese all crappie under the 9'' min. it is very important to the population of these fish. i have allready seen an improvement in the last year.
