Second time fishing at Lake Roosevelt. Fished from 10 am to noon. Only one other boat launched at Seven Bays during the time I was there. Saw about three groups of shore fishermen. trolled on the east shore just north and south of the marina in 60-90 feet of water. It was fast and furious with takedowns one after the other for the first 40 minutes. Trolling at 1.5-2 mph diving crankbait on one rod, and a black wooly bugger with 3 colors of leadcore and about 60 feet of light mono on the other rod. Hooked about half of them, Landed two, lost two due to tackle malfunction. Then nothing for about 30 minutes. Changed trolling speed to 2.5-3 mph had steady action many more take downs, and limited out at around 11:40. Did seem like there were more takedowns on the fly compared with the crankbait. Had to leave, but probably would have been a 20+ fish day if I had stayed. Seemed like larger fish compared with when I was there 26 Dec. Two were around 14", one 19", two were slightly better than 20". Water temp was a lot cooler at 36 F.
