The Stennes' were out both the 5th and 6th. Wednesday was the better day with 16 fish hooked and 10 in the net. However, only 2 were hatchery fish that could be kept. The pictured fish was caught and is being held by Travis Schoenwald of Manson. It is a 10 lb. 10 oz hatchery buck caught on the 5th.

The 6th was a much slower day with 8 fish hooked and 4 of those in the net. Only one was a keeper / hatchery fish. The dams dropped the water 5 feet and it was moving very slow. That probably contributed to the slower bite rate.

On both days, the fish bit Worden Lures new Maxi-Jig in red, pink or orange in 1/8th ounce. That Calypso color is great. The jigs were baited with pink coon-tailed shrimp.

With the cold snap breaking this is a great time to fish our region. Tight Lines,

Anton

I wonder how do you see that the pictured fish is a hatchery if it is not clipped?

Roman The rule is that the fin need not to be totally clipped off. A half cut off fin is a clipped fin. looks to me that the dorsal fin also got the treatment too and is healed over/ scarred this happens when the fish enters the clip slot in the wrong drirection..
