launched around 930am and headed to a spot just downriver from lincoln that produced awesome 3 wks ago. It was fairly choppy (love that wind chill) and sunny. Had a fish on in 5 minutes, I'm thinking all right the spot is still hot. lost the fish by the boat due to some incredible acrobatics by said fish. Then nothing for 3 or 4 more trolls. Figure we'll head over to white rock area. First pass, 2 fish in the boat and a drive by. then nothing for 2 more trolls. I'm thinking that the fish are spooking out of the area after the first pass. We continue downriver running and gunning with no more success. By this time we are almost to the sanpoil. Decide to try our spot up by the deadline. good decision. we put 5 more fish in the boat with more drive byes and some lost fish. once the sun started to go down the bite ended and we headed back. Tackle was a pink and a watermelon apex with cowbells. using about 1 1/4 oz wt with 100-130 ft of mono out . tipped the apex's with a chunk of gulp nightcrawler. tried a plug occasionally with no success. good day and the lake was like glass the last part of the day.
