Kind of a weird day of fishing today,launche dfrom Bateman Island thinking the Yakima river was too high and muddy to fish.Jigged watermelon, pumpkin, and white grubbs and didnt get a hit. Another boat hook around 8 suckers 2 carp and a catfish on a 5in root beer with watermelon flakes grub on a 1/4 ounce jig. The guy showed me some tricks and gave me some grubs and jigs that he was using. After awhile i got a rather large bite on a luckycraft LV 100 and another guy in my boat lost a fish on a pumpkin grub on a 3/8 ounce jig. We watched a guy land an 8lb Walleye next to us on a white grubb and also a 2 pound bass. Should pick up when water clears.Some other folks were struggling on the bank so i handed them some of those jiggs and grubbs in hope that they would have better luck than me. Tight lines.
