We put in at 7 Bays & fished in Hawk Crk, Lincoln area & White Rock with only 1 fish all day. We ran four lines and covered everything from 5' to 30'. All the normal things like flies with a dodger, Rapala's & Assins with a dodger. A real tough day. I have heard the belief that we flushed allot of fish in the spring. I have to wonder.

It seems to be the pattern many are experiancing this year. I am not sure where the fish have gone. I would think if they were flushed downstream with the drawdown, then fishing would be awesome just abouve Coulee dam and if they went over...then Rufus Woods. Need someone with WDFW who might know to weigh in I guess...

As for the fish getting flushed or going over.......I don't know. Have been told this from a handful of anglers as well. Things have changed over the years. I have reached the point where I leave the trolling rods at home. Fishing the many bays and creek fed areas with rock and gravel will produce. Trout are picking snails. Slow presentation like a drop shot or crawling something tipped with a worm along the bottom. Fan cast and cover area slowly and quietly as to not spook. Few scattered fish on top. It gets cold so bundle up. Have caught trout from 2 to 30 feet of water. Good luck
