Dealer told me not to tow with canvas up below freezing, I've cheated a few times down to mid 20s, but not into the teens. Thanks for the vicarious fishing trip. :-)

My canvas has been up since the day it rolled out of the factory 2004 . No problems ! I wouldn't think raising and lower it when the weather is below freezing would be not good on the materials .

1/28/2012 3:24:00 PMThanks for canvas tips. I leave mine up, don't raise/lower, just don't leave the house with temps in the mid 20s or lower. Maybe I'll venture out in colder weather more often now! :-)

1/30/2012 11:18:00 AMI have the opposite approach as some of you guys. I never trailer with the top up. On my old boat, the side curtains were so beat up that you couldn't see through them at all. I hated that. The guys that fish with me most likely don’t like the extra 15 minutes at load and unload, but my side curtains are immaculate. To me there is a safety factor involved when you can't see out the sides, especially during the summer when the nuisance crafts are at full force.
