Hey guys, got to go down to one of my favorite places to fish today with my son. But befor we headed out we made a quick stop by my bro jiggy's house to get some of his homemade jigs. He wanted us to try his new sculpin jigs hes been making. So we get down to roosevelt about 5:30 and what happened the next 2 1/2 hours was some awsome fast and furious smallmouth action. We probably caught 35-40 smallies....nothing real big but all 3/4 pound to a pound and a half real fun on ultra-lite tackle. My son had an absolute blast as he always does.So back to the jigs,we used a green with black flake sculpin on a 1/16 oz jighead. The jigs are very soft and life like but they lasted a long time,we caught 10-15 fish on a bait befor it got to chewed up to stay on a jighead.Jiggy,Thank you for your help on every thing bro. look forward to fishing with you again.
