This was a trip last year but I couldn't help myself, it was this same day and I just found these pics so I am posting them now. Mainly to show what we used and to show that winter months aren't the only time these big boys are caught. I watched a guy fly fishing in a float tube for a few hours pulling in trout after trout and he was kind enough to fill me in on the fly he was using. I tied up a few that would replicate what he was using and went out there with my good friend. We fished near the first set of pens from the Grove in about 30ft of water, casting upstream and jigging down towards the bottom. We caught a lot of fish that day but these were the ones we kept: 18lb, 14lb, 10lb and a 8lb. We had smoked fish for weeks! I wish I could post more pics of this trip... I encourage you to tie one of these up and give it a shot but if you get a big one please let me know, as I am still learning that fishery, that's all I ask.
