We started fishing at 830 am. Fished until winds and rough water made trolling a challenge. We released 4 fish during the 3-4 hours we fished. We were just below the Seven Bays Marina inlet. Of the 4 we released three appeared to be from this years release from the trout raised in the fishing net pens. The last fish looked like a carry over of about 12-13 inches. We were trolling about 1.9 mph water was about 64 degrees. We had leaded line running 4 to 5 colors with the wind and waves was hard to really monitor the polls activity. At least twice we had small fish on for a while and didn't catch when the fish hit. We were spotting fish from 20 feet to 40 in about 60 feet of water on the fish finder. We were using a orange and green wedding ring as well as a green k fly with worms and corn. Will try again next weekend when hopefully the water will not be storming. We were in a 28 foot cruiser and I was glad to have the high seaboards with the waves.

Last year's carryovers would be in the 20" range. Net pen fish released this past spring are 12" - 14" right now. Good on you for braving the windy conditions, I always like fishing Roosevelt in rough conditions though my wife and yellow lab do not. We'll be there next weekend as well. ;-)
