Left Spokane at 6:00AM in the FOG. Slow going and didn't get out of it until we were almost to Fort Spokane. Started trolling a mudler and a Frisky Jenny Trick Er Treat on three colors lead at 2 mph past the first point out of the bay and BAM fish on then bam second fish on; wow a double right out of the gate. Couldn't even get the second pole out (I have a two pole endorsement and the other person didn't) Limited in short order, what a day of fall fishing.
Are we spoiled or what? Tight lines - Alan

Nice batch of fish Alan. I am starting to think about hauling the boat to the shed.

Nice catch Alan! We endured the foggy ride as well, and like you said, it was that way almost to Fort Spokane. We drove out of it on the way down to Hume Road where we turn off for Seven Bays. The bite Saturday afternoon was frantic, the weather and scenery fantastic, and company superb. I'm taking a fishing buddy up Wednesday for another round of catching.

MotoBoat, They are really plump footballs 13 to 15" and an occasional bigger one. Phil, this is definitely catching and not fishing...yahoooooo!! Man was it pretty down there after the sun came out; what a time to be on the water with friends. The only negative was my transducer died and so the sonar quit working. On second thought how could anything be negative on a beautiful, fish catching day like that?

PS Ordered an Airmar P66 for my HDS7 Lowrance. Should have it installed before next weekend.

The success in your report, indicates a f.f. is not needed. :o)

FF, pfft, who needs a FF? Believe it or not, I don't use mine to locate trout especially when they are on the surface like right now. Watch underwater contours, points, and structure - you bet and that's what I use it for. :-)

You'll be happy with the P66 Alan, very nice 'ducers!!

Thanks for the encouragement on the xducer Phil. We do the best we can on research and then go from there.......momoney!

I use my sonar to find contours, points and structure too. I'm also looking at the suspended fish but they are not usually the ones biting. I find three colors leaded line works great and 25' on the downrigger. Sometimes longer set-backs on the dr are in order if you are fishing in the top 20' or less.
