My brother and I fished the confluence again today. Started off trolling the south shore of the mouth and picked up five fish with three to the boat on our first pass. We fished all the way to the point heading out to Seven Bays and turned around. We shot back up the the cove right after the no wake buoy and started drift trolling back towards the mouth. We ended up making three passes on the south shore with 8 fish in the cooler and a couple more getting off. After the third pass we decided to fish the rocks across from Lincoln and hooked two fish within the first 5 minutes with both fish getting off. We ended up not getting another bite trolling the rocks and then the net pens downstream from Lincoln. Headed back to the mouth of the Spokane and made one more pass without another bite. It was really crowded by then with at least six boats in the area fishing the same stretch. Ended the day at around 3 p.m. with eight fish. Big fish came in at 18" and the smallest around 16".

We were fishing with Kekeda Flies in orange and chartreuse with the orange boating 5 of the 8 fish. We had the downriggers set at 12 feet and a trolling speed of 2.3 to 2.6 mph. Water was down about 10' or so.

Kekeda Tackle Co. is a local company offering high quality trolling flies. The perfect trolling fly for waters around the Pacific Northwest. Offered in a variety of colors at reasonable prices.

Nice report Dave and a day on the water with fish in the cooler is always a good day. Glad to see you are going public with your flies, they are great! Good fishing to you!!! :-)

Been out of the area for a bit. Good to see fish are still hitting. I will be trying down by Spring Canyon again this week depending on wind for Kok's. The Bow's are still growing. Nice catch.

We had to laugh at the end of the day. We were sure that we'd end up with a limit and would have if those fish that got off would have stuck. They seem to be back to their old tricks again. Thanks for the kind words Phil. I have you to thank for always being willing to try these flies out over the last couple years even when they didn't look so good. :) I think our next trip will probably be down that way Widebear, it's about that time of year when they start migrating down there after the food. Good luck when you head out!

Hi Dave,
Fished Saturday (report to come) and the fish were finicky about flies. Caught one on a orange Kekeda and one on a Lenny Special. And a shameless plug for Kekeda...well made product that works! - Alan

My pleasure Dave and I hope some of my feedback was beneficial in your "development". I really like the current version. :-)
