Took my two good friends to Roosevelt this morning to try and catch a few fish before the big game. We launched at Fort Spokane found a problem with the steering on my boat and decided to try and make the best of a bad thing, boy am I glad we did. Just two hours later steering the boat with just the kicker motor we trailered the boat with three limits of nice fat Rainbows. We trolled with flies and rapalas with the perch colored broken back doing the best by a four to one ratio. We trolled down stream from the ramp to the cove area just outside the no wake bouy then back up stream only about two hundred yards, that small area is stacked with fish today. We kept our speed around 1.7 mph and had an outstanding trip. Boat is now in a warm shop in hopes we can figure out the steering problem once everything defrosts hopefully before Sprague defrosts. Hope I explained everything enough just in case someone would to take advantage of some very fast fishing. Good Luck, Dennis

Hi Hutch, we were just using mono and get it about 150' behind the boat no sinker no down riggers. I use 6lb Seguar flourocarbin.
Great Luck to you, if I can help any more just let me know, Dennis
