Fishing for Rainbow Trout up to 25 inches and 4-5 pounds continues strong on Rufus Woods. We hooked and landed 14 fish this morning in areas between Seaton's Grove and the Net Pens. We were pulling Rip-N-Minnows and shallow running Rapala Shad Raps in water depths of 6-15 feet. Fishing in proximity to scattered boulders is a key pattern on Rufus right now. We also landed one nice Brown Trout, approximately 18", that was also caught on the Rip-N-Minnow in 8 feet of water.

Is it common to catch Brown's on Rufus? Are there tiger trout in Rufus?

It is pretty common to pick up a Brown trout on a trip to Rufus, but it is usually just one per trip. I always release the Browns hoping their numbers will continue to increase. I don't believe there are any tiger trout in Rufus.
