The Upper Columbia river has been fishing good to great with both the nymph and the dry. We should continue to see some good rises this next week with cloud cover and potential Caddis and Mayfly extravaganza. Regardless, the fishing is SOLID with a variety of nymph and dry patterns replicating Caddis Pupa, Baetis, Yellow Mays and Ants.

Best Patterns lately include...#12-16 Formerly Known as Prince, Bead Head Hungarians in tan and olive, The Fore and Aft, Parachute Ants, #10 Catch All.

Are you retaining those fish? How do they taste? What is the limit?

We release all fish unless the fish is going to die.....honestly they don't taste very good. We are proponents of releasing all wild stock. The fish there are all naturally reproducing.

Best,
