Fished from 6 -10am, approx. 100 yards down from the Dam, the crowd was not too bad - plenty of space to fish, weather was windy at times w/ a little drizzle here & there, ended up catching 20 and called it a day. Gear used was 1/16 oz crappie jig (red eyed - chartreuse was the hot ticket & red-eyed white).
Although I see lots of disappointed folks that didn't do very well (who were mainly using shad darts), there were lots of fish that came through and unfortunately the fish were very selective today on what they want to bite.

***An example is a couple next to me with a young daughter, showed up late with a lower budget type gear (the plastic reel was the size of a softball!), you know what I'm talking about! Yeah, their coordination was awkward - yeah that's right - one of them. Now, the key is that they bought a box of crappie jigs that comes in all kinds of colors and sizes/ I think about 10 bucks (you can pick these up at Wal-Mart).
Just going to make the long story short - they ended making me look like a rookie? Within an hour, they had at least 50 or more hookups, bunch of doubles/ triples (on a 1/8 oz red-eyed chartreuse), almost every cast was fish on for them.
The folks to the right of them and the folks to the left - all kept staring at them in dis-belief, and those who are reading my report, you guys know what I'm talking about.

Had a good trip, we'll head back one more time for the season.
